Global financier George Soros is scheduled to meet with Vice President Boediono at the latter’s office in Jakarta on Wednesday, a vice presidential staff member said.
“[But] we don’t know yet the details of what is going to be discussed in the meeting,” Yopie Hidayat, one of the vice presidential special staff, told tempointeraktif.com.
Soros has often been labeled in Indonesia and Malaysia as the one of the main people responsible for the Asian financial crisis of 1997.
